Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy, and expensive and you probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

We bought this in May and it is one of the best decisions we have made. It cooks quickly and the controls are really fine tuned. It has some excellent safety features if you have children in the house.

Induction cooktop

Submitted by Stephanie - 12/18/2014

If your only cooking source is electric than a must have for your kitchen is the Electrolux induction cooktop. Induction heat cooks exactly like a gas stove. You can get down to the lowest simmer without ever worrying about overcooked recipes or sauces. Never over cook an egg again. It is one of the best on the market and also a fraction of the cost of Thermador. This is my second Electrolux induction cooktop. Sadly I had to leave my old one in the house I sold.

He bit too shiny

Submitted by Veganeyes - 11/12/2014

In general I love this cooktop. It looks great in my kitchen and the controls are really slick to use. It goes without saying that induction is the way to go. The only problem is that the black surface is very shiny. Consequently it shows every fingerprint and smudge. After I wipe it down with the sponge I have to dry it with a towel to keep it from spotting. The controls are also a bit hard to see and can get covered up with fingerprints and/or lost in the reflection of the kitchen lights. It took me a week or so to get used to this but its not a huge deal anymore. All the same it wouldve been better if they had designed it with a matte finish.

Cannot tolerate a spill

Submitted by JGBellingham - 12/29/2012
Source: Electrolux.com

When this cooktop works it is great. However it is very susceptible to spills. Basically it is not water tight and the electronics are right under the stovetop. The induction brings pots to a boil so quickly that the uninitiated e.g. a helpful guest are almost sure to let spaghetti pasta for example boil over dumping a fair bit of water on the stove surface. This has happened to us twice the first under warranty the second not. Both cause the stove to stop working E flashing on the burner displays and the counter going nuts. The first time it took three service calls before the stove worked again. We are just starting the second round and I am debating whether to simply replace the top with something that is not shorted out by a minor cooking debacle.
