I dont like that it beeps three times every 3-4 seconds. It gets annoying unless you can get to it immediately. When I want to defrost something I have to press what type of meat and weight before I can do it at all. Many times it isnt even meat. I usually just press anything just to get it to work. This is a huge pain.

So far I have had this microwave for two months and am extremely pleased. It is quiet and was easy to install for a do-it-yourselfer. It has several defrost modes for different types of meat which is helpful so that you dont end up cooking the meat while it is in the microwave.

Weave used the microwave for about a month. It does a very good job. The auto defrost lack a Bread/Bakery setting only Meat Poultry and Fish. Your need to manually defrost and need to manually input multiple times to set power levels not good. Also could have a faster exhaust fan spped.

Microwave looks great and completes my Gallery Kitchen set. It doesnt heat food well. Microwave has many cold spots. My other microwave didnt have this problem. It takes much longer to heat food than expected.

We replaced our very old microwave with this new Frigidaire. We enjoy the 3 settings for popcorn. One nice feature is the dimensions. We thought all microwave ovens were the same. Unfortunately they are not but Frigidaire makes a size that was the same fit as our old microwave. Otherwise we would have had to re-tile my backslash. Thank you Frigidaire.

I have owned two of these microwaves two different homes and have used the features extensively. This microwave is easy to use and learn. My wife and I defrost a lot of meals meats casseroles soups and vegetables and this microwave performs this function very well. This feature fits into our lifestyle and was a major factor in selecting it. This microwave also reheats leftovers well evenly. Installation is a breeze. Multi-speed fan which works fantastically for any cooking/baking that might produce smoke and lighting work as described and expected. PROS: We bought this microwave three months ago. We love the look of the stainless steel. The Frigidaire was also surprisingly cost effective compared to other models. CONS: I hate the obnoxious beeps at the end of the cycle. There are three beeps in rapid succession and quite loud. If you dont open the door relatively quickly it beeps again three more times. Very annoying. Also if the unit is under cabinent mounted as far I can tell you cant change the charcoal filters????? Whats up with that?

Handle is big and chunky. Good handle. Theres no time defrost button that i can find though i have to choose an item like chicken/beef and then pretend its .25 lbs to defrost a burrito. the door switches broke the motherboard needs to be replaced currently waiting on it now to be replaced because it cuts out every time I open the door in the middle of a defrost. it literally blows my houses breaker which only has the microwave and a gas oven very low electric current on a gas oven. Frigidaire has been good at getting me my service guy who has become close with our family as i see him more than I see my immediate family. We were considering having him be the Godfather of our next child. In all seriousness hes been wonderful. Truthfully were running out of parts to replace on this thing. The stainless steel finish looks nice though?

Ive had this about a month and I do like the microwave. I dont use as many features as available maybe those will come with time. The stainless does not show fingerprints which is a real plus. The reason I didnt give it four stars was I have a hard time entering/pushing the buttons - seems like you have to push just right or extra hard. The door has a tight seal - which makes opening and closing not as quiet as you might expect. I would purchase it again based on my current experience.

I really like this microwave with one BIG exception. Even though the volume setting has low medium and high the low volume is extremely loud and I would also say the end of cooking cycle reminder is demanding. Luckily there is an off volume choice which I am now using but my preference would really be to have a low periodic beeping tone. Otherwise I am very pleased with its easy use and features and it is easy to clean inside and out.

This microwave is serving us well in our new home. Our only disappointment is that the volume control doesnt have enough levels to choose from and the softest alarm is just too loud. Weve opted to shut the sound off completely which takes some getting used to.

All the features on this microwave are excellent we love the sensor button for meals and popcorn etc.LOVE the Gallery Series Smudge proof. WE just hate the beeps that keep on if you dont go and open the door. One day I went outside did things for about 45 min. came in and beeps still going off and since I was just defrosting I didnt need to get out immediately. After 2 min. it should STOP..

Installed this over the range microwave and was finally able to free up counter space by getting rid of my old counter top microwave. This Frigidaire installed easily utilizing the top vent fan option. Great templates for both wall and bottom of cabinet. It has been working great ever since I especially like the option to turn off the sound as I dont care for the constant audio reminder of food waiting to be taken out. It is as powerful as any other microwave I have had with either the quick and easy 30 minute button or more selective power scale and time features. All in all I am quite content with everything and would recommend this to anyone I also bought the matching range so both together add a touch of quality to my kitchen.

Electronics cooling fan stopped working because a wire was tangled in the blades. Fixed under warrantee. Bad door design. When door is opened the thickness of the door adds to the width of the unit and binds against the refrigerator next to it.

The loud and repetitive alert when your food is done cooking is excessively loud and frequent. I dont think it is an urgent matter if my leftovers are done warming. Besides I prefer to let it sit for a moment before getting the food out. My parents have an ancient microwave that has a button to release and gently close the door. This one doesnt however I could not find one that did.

One thing that drives me nuts is the volume of the alert for when your food is done. You can supposedly change the volume to lo/med/high but all the tones sound just as loud and so we ultimately end up just turning it off completely which is not ideal either. We also had to have a repairman come because the fan all of a sudden wouldnt shut off so I had to unplug the unit until they could repair it thankfully we were still within the one-year period and the service call was free they determined that the problem was the thermostat. I chose this model because of certain features that I like one-button cooking for 1-3 minutes and because I thought that the door latch was quieter than others but I guess that was just the in-store floor model because ours sounds just as loud as my former model when you close the door. It looks nice and I like the design and controls but I dont know if I would buy another Frigidaire model in the future. Im afraid this one is not going to last very long given the fact that weve already had to repair it once.

We just purchased a new microwave I followed all of the installation instructions and when I turn on the microwave it will only run for 3 seconds and then shuts off. Overall the over the range microwave oven is quite good. Biggest complaint is that the grate shelf and probe were missing from the packaging. Everything is great to include how quite it runs compared to the old one. Only problem is when its finished cooking it will beep and beep and beep until shut off. Simply 2 or 3 beeps and a reminder a couple minutes later would be nicer.

The price was right for the wave but the door sounds tinny on opening and closing and I would really prefer ONE long beep instead of 3 to signal the end of cooking. Our big mistake was ordering online instead of trying one in the store. I do like the range of automatic cooking features.

Overall this is a great microwave. It looks really nice has very easy to use controls and is super super quiet. My only single complaint is that even though its 1000+ watts it seems to be a lot less powerful than the 1300-watt Panasonic microwave it replaced. A bowl of oatmeal in the Panasonic is one minute in this Frigidaire its at least 90 seconds. Even so I like it.

The microwave works well and as expected. The shade of stainless is gorgeous-it makes my cherry cabinets look richer. Hired someone to install it because my husband isnt a handy man type. One thing true from other reviews the buzzer is loud and annoying. It wont stop until you open the door of press the stop button...I guess youll never forget anything in the micro Oh yes its really not smuge proof because 2 of my teenagers proved otherwise. However it is more smudge resistant than other brand-lines.

This is a very good microwave and the perfect size for our application. The only fault I have with it is the cover for the wave thing on the side. It is some type of thin coated cardboard type material that could easily break if removed and you cant use the microwave without it.

Great microwave. Certainly the easiest to use considering it capabilities. Very intuitive not confusing like other similar microwave ovens. The beeping certainly lets you know when its done. Can be very irritating though for the duration and repeated beeping until someone responds. In fact it seems all of the Gallery family have the same beep so can be very irritating when the oven the dryer and the microwave all beep at the same time. Back to the microwave though -- were very happy with it.

I really like the look of this microwave. It was a little bit challenging to install. I really didnt expect it to be so LOUD Both settings high and low for the venting are equally loud so thats annoying. I do love the way it looks in my kitchen above my stainless steel range. Very sleek. Its also very roomy. I see no need for the metal rack so I could have done without that.

This microwave looks great and works fine but it is loud. Every time it runs we hear what sounds like a fan running and its much louder than our previous one at our old place. We had the same one at our old house so upgraded to this one when we moved because we had this model before just in white instead of stainless and really liked it. We do not like this one as much as our old one just because its so much louder.

I bought a condo 2 years ago and the stove and microwave both needed replacing. I saved up and was so excited to finally make the purchase. the stove is also Frigidaire Well my microwave fan doesnt work The repair man came out once and it needed a part. I called to schedule another call and the day before he was supposed to come I got a call that the part hadnt come in. So now Im back to school I am a teacher at a Catholic school and wanted to do this project during the summer when I was home more often Well I work my second job on Saturdays and dont get home during the week until after 3 so havent rescheduled the service call yet. Really disappointed. I asked if they would just replace it and the serviceman said the company wouldnt agree to that. So - it looks great and works great otherwise but its a major disappointment that my long-awaited splurge doesnt work

I like the smudgeproof stainless steel finish of this appliance - its easy to keep it looking good. I also appreciate the number of options that are available - cooking modes include manually by sensor by one touch or automatically. It has a space saver feature which allows you to microwave more than one dish at a time. It gives you the option of setting the clock or not.

The microwave is easy to use its controls are intuitive - I have yet to consult the manual while preparing a meal. At the same time I keep the manual close at hand because the microwave has features which I have yet to discover.

Original Frigidaire microwave Gallery lasted about 13 years. Only problem was with over the cook top lights until it finally gave up. We checked quite a few models to replace it and are extremely satisfied with the Frigidaire FGMV175QF.

I have to be honsest with this. We have only had it about a month and have not really given it the full throttle testing. There are features but we have not tried them all. Of those tried we have found them difficult to use. The one thing noticed is that the food that we cook appears to be hotter when you take it out.

I didnt really need a new microwave as the one I had was only 2 years old. But I changed the other appliances to stainless and since I can see the kitchen from the living room I thought it would be a good idea to get a new one. It is smaller than the one I had and that is good because the other one stuck out too far and sometimes I hit my head on it. It is much simpler than the old one and that is good too. Complicated is too troublesome for me. This does just what I want it to and everything I cook in this microwave comes out perfectly No smudges or fingerprints on the outside either.

Looks great incredibly quiet. My only complaints are the 3 beeps that wont stop without action from you and the sensor reheat - which continues to cook way past the point of very hot.

This appliance has been problematic. It seems to have been improperly installed as it nearly always trips the circuit breaker. Once the problem is corrected which I think is the fault of the electrician not Frigidaire I suspect that we shall thoroughly enjoy using the microwave. At our home the microwave is used frequently everyday. So we are frustrated right now.

Had a Frigidaire microwave before this one and loved it. Unfortunately it only lasted around two years before it died. I replaced it with another Frigidaire and can only hope this one which works beautifully now will last much longer. The repair person for the first one did say that it was very unusual that it broke so soon.
