Sad Beautiful microwave works great......except it literally screams at the end of the cooking cycle. Opening the door doesnt stop the high-pitched screaming only hitting Stop shuts it up. Please fix this

for reheat/defrost duties. Dont use it for anything else. What is causing me to look elsewhere for a microwave is the annoying and completely unnecessary beeeep-beeeep-beeeep at timers end. You can cancel it after it has started only before opening the door by pushing stop/cancel. If you open the door you have to cycle through the entire warning.

Purchased this microwave on special and Its okay. However there are some featured that I dislike or are not up to par. The exhaust comes on automatically and you can not turn it off. This unit came with the house I purchased as part of a fridgidaire full kitchen set with dishwasher and fridge. The microwave door locking clip broke on my first use and had to get it repaired. The microwave would not function with just one clip working so we had to call support and get the extended warranty because I the remodelers didnt leave receipts. Since the repair it has worked great but we hate how it forces the loud beeps on you even after you open the door.

The microwave works very well but has some annoying features. When it is finished cooking it lets out 3 very loud very long beeps and does not stop when you open the door. Also the fan will randomly turn on when cooking and theres no way to turn it off usually lasts 10-15 minutes. Other than that good product.

The basic operation is OK. It heats food. The MW looks nice andgoes well with the other appliances. However The door sticks and does not open smoothly. You have to pull straight out so short kids have trouble. The beeper is very loud it cant be stopped it cant be turned down and it cant be programmed for one beep. It is really annoying. I cant recommend this modelbut now Im stuck with it.

I installed this microwave to replace a previous Fridgidaire after 9 years of happy daily use. We loved the previous one. This one was easy to install and had some new features--mainly in how the keypad operates. Some of these are meant to be for convenience but are actually annoying. Most older waves allow you to punch in the cook time and hit start. Not this one hitting 1 2 or 3 automatically cooks for those minutes the start button does the same in 30 sec increments. Also most waves cancel when you open the door. This unit does not and it beeps incessantly when done cooking if you dont hit cancel before opening the door your in for some frustration. Otherwise it works like every other wave Ive used and has nice preset cook and defrost features that are easy to use.

whenever it finishes heating it beeps three times very load and very long beeps even after I have opened the door it continues to beep. I hate the extra noise my last frigidaire microwave stopped the beeping once the door was opened. This drives me nuts

Works as advertised looks very nice and is very quiet and efficient. Certainly better than our old microwave. The door is a little loud when closing but it closes. The three long beeps at the end of the cycle are just that. Just cancel the cycle before the end. Not a deal breaker. I can certainly live with it. So far very satisfied.

This is our second Frigidaire microwave we have purchased in two years. The reason we have purchased two in the last two years is because right around the time our warranty expires 11-12 months the first microwave died on us in May 2014 so we bought another one because our warranty expired in May. A month before our warranty was set to expire for the second microwave started to make weird sounds and would burn out. We had one month left on the warranty this started happening in April 2015 and warranty expires in May 2015 so the repair guy came and put in a new control panel and virtually re-wired the entire microwave. Lets see how long this one will last now. If I end up having to purchase another microwave I dont think I will buy this one again. Twice was enough. Although The Frigidaire Gallery Stove and dishwasher work AMAZINGLY well

This was included in the appliance package with our new home. We negotiated for better refrigerator range and dishwasher didnt think a microwave would matter. Huge mistake The door is nearly impossible to pull open. Often takes me 2-3 attempts. Whoever programmed it must have goofed because when it is done cooking is says GOOD on the display??? Why??? The beep is loud and cant be turned off. The only way to avoid that horrible beep is to catch it before it times out. The description says it will hold a 9x13 dish...it will but it will bang against the sides/door the entire time because there is no option to turn off the turntable. I spoke to a repairman about it and apparently Frigidaire has discontinued this feature. I am in the process of a warranty claim for the horrible door local appliance installer said it is a defect in manufacturing and company needs to address or else I would replace and never look back. Lesson learned...research all appliances even the inexpensive ones. You will use all of them a lot and the little nuisances will become big nuisances fast The only good thing about Frigidaire is when you make a call to customer service they are very nice and very helpful. All the repair people that have visited my home have been polite and respectful.

If I had done my research rather than just buy this Sale package deal microwave I would have chosen something else. Like all these Electrolux products its built to exceed the warrantee period and then anything longer is unlikely. Its built poorly from the door handle to the key pad. There is really nothing I can say positive other than its the cheapest of all the stainless looking microwaves available. Until it breaks and wont respond to the key pad commands or continues to run until you pull out the plug. 15 months of use and the control pad is toasted. It wont turn off and costs more that a new one to repair. 0 Stars Pass

This microwave was included in our condo so for now we are stuck with it. Whoever programmed the microcontroller for this microwave did a terrible job. It does not keep correct time when not in standby to use the timer sometimes the microwaves starts even though you press the timer key the inability to lower the beep volume or turn off the beep will not stop if you open the microwave door which defies the operational logic of every microwave produced since the 80s Its like they gave this microwave to a bunch of interns and told them we want you to create the worst microwave in history now go I just am glad we did not spend our money on it I would have sledgehammered this terrible microwave.

After the food is cooked and the beeps start simply hit the stop/cancel button BEFORE you open the door. The beeps will stop. Once you open the door you cannot stop the beeping.

This model was builder-provided in new construction home. First time to use Frigidaire appliances. The buttons are very finicky to the touch. You must hit them just-right or they simply do-not respond. The LOOOONG three-beeps when cook cycle is completed is absolutely annoying And the fact that the beeps dont stop when you open the door is all the more annoying. Just read one review that you can hit stop when you open the door to stop the beeps - Ill try that. Also dont like that you cannot cook something at the same time you want or need-to use the timer. One or the other - not both. Very disappointed in the engineering of this particular model. Have already purchased a different one not Frigidaire to replace. This ones not for me.

This microwave cooks rapidly and functions well except for the lack of volume control When a cook cycle ends three extremely loud and long tones sound. The tones dont quit if you open the door--once it starts you have to endure the wrath of face melting sound. My guests can hear it in their bedrooms. This microwave came installed in our new fifth wheel trailer. Overall I like its cooking power etc but am not happy when trying to clean the inside door of the unit. There is some kind of wire grating that makes it impossible to clean the inside door glass. If you wipe or spray some cleaning product or water on the door there is no way to wipe up the excess. It looks horrible from the outside you can see the dripping water but no way to blot it up.

Microwave is awesome except the one thing I would change is the volume of the beeping when its done and that if you forget to push cancel before you open the door you cant silence the beeping anymore it really is loud and annoying. Everything else is awesome

I purchased a series of Frogodaire appliances for my rental units. This microwave had 9 months usage before the touchpad went bad. It was not under warranty because I had purchased it months before installation. Im very disappointed in Frigidaire right now. Im reconsidering another brand for my 50 rental units.

Not much to tell about this microwave. It looks good but lacks some of the extra features that would have been nice. I got this in a package deal. The door feels like you are going to break it when you pull hard to open it and slam shut to close. Works fine.

The microwave electronic motherboard went out within 6 months. Then the motherboard was on back order for over a month. I was left without a microwave over Xmas and New Year holidays. The door doesnt line up with the frame. The 3 ready beeps do not stop even though you open the door to retrieve your cooked food.

I would score this higher however it was a brand new Microwave and it didnt work. I had to have a repair shop come and replace the contriol panel which took about a month and a half since the parts were back ordered. Went through the Holidays with no microwave.

This product worked fine for one month then it just stopped. It took the repair people 3 visits before it was up and running again however it was down a little over a month. We no have new replacement parts in our brand new microwave so we shall see how long it works for. I dont have much faith in this microwave.

This is probably a poor time to ask for a review - we have been waiting for a month for a part to come in from the factory to fix it. It was made in February 2013 and by November 2013 it was completely broken. As in if its left plugged in it turns on by itself. The control panel needs to be replaced. I wouldnt bother with this. Aside from those issues you cannot run the timer and cook something in the microwave at the same time which I find to be a problem.

Its very powerful so cooking times are shorter than other ovens but the sound it makes at the end of a run is awful Its loud and long and doesnt seem to be adjustable or changeable.

Frigidaire was my favorite brand. moved into a new rental and the landlord delivered 4 appliances all Frigidaire. theyre all flimsy and poorly built. the worst is the microwave. normally at the end of the cycle when the beeper goes off it should shut off if you open the door. but it doesnt. its one of the most irritating things Ive experienced in an appliance. the only thing I can figure is there was some engineer out there that figured they could save 2 cents on the part that signals the end of the heating process. so they went with the savings instead of a positive customer experience. Very poor decision.

there is little to no difference in speed btw the high and low fan speeds even theogh its supposed to be 300 - 170. by the noise its indistinguishable. had a repair man come and he said thats the way it is - disappointing

We purchased it but did not install it immediately. We had to wait for the renovations in our kitchen to be completed. However when we did install it ...it did not work...never did. They would not exchange it at the store we purchased it from so we had to have the unit... brand new out of the box repaired. To make it even worst the repair company had tao come out 3 times and still today... the exhaust fan only blows on teh hi speed... the low speed does not work My advice would be try another name brand/make

This microwave is just okay nothing really special. Looks nice though. However it has been making a rather large rattling sound periodically. Unfortunately when the technician came by the problem could not be duplicated. It resurfaced right after he left. The noise can be very irritating. I just hope its not a health hazard.

The microwave cooks things nicely and it looks decent in my kitchen. Thats all the good. For the bad: - you need a towel or pot holder to open the door if you are cooking anything on the stove below - cant use the microwave and the timer at the same time - there is only one brightness level for the light that lights up the stove below and it is not bright enough to be useful - the exhaust fan has two speeds both of which are so noisy as to be impossible to have a conversation over without yelling. If I ever buy another over-the-range microwave again I will definitely do better research first and it definitely wont be this one.

We bought a complete Frigidaire appliance package including a front -loader washer and dryer almost a year ago. Every single item has broke in some way. The microwave seems very cheap has a terribly annoying beeping sound that will not shut off even after opening the door and now the door handle has broken. When the door is shut it thinks its turned on and starts running. Its like one of the door latches doesnt engage? Stay away from cheap-o Frigidaire.

I have been using this microwave for about a year. I will say the microwave works well as far as successfully heating items as a microwave should. Other than that I find it to be an awkward design in the following ways: - The button for the light is directly under the Start button. If you hit the Start button it automatically starts microwaving for 30 seconds. However in a dimly-lit room I often accidentally hit the Start button when Im just trying to turn the light on. I can tell you how many times I have started a 30-second microwave cycle on an empty microwave. - Speaking of the lights there are two light bulbs underneath which is fine. However in the one year weve been using this microwave the same bulb has burned out twice while the other has yet to burn out at all. The first time we had to scour the internet for a replacement bulb only to find that the specific wattage of the bulb that came in the microwave is pretty much unavailable. Anywhere. So we did some reading and learned to use a slightly lower wattage bulb. This took entirely too much research and hunting for what should have been a simple light bulb. - The beeping at the end of the cooking or timer is quite obnoxious. Its 3 long loud beeps and unlike every other microwave Ive ever used it does NOT stop when you open the microwave door I have young children and often stand directly in front of the microwave waiting for the timer to hit 1 second so I can stop it before it beeps so it doesnt wake up anyone sleeping/napping. - There are lots of convenience setting quick buttons but I have never used a single one of them. Seems like a bit of a waste of space and features. It has a reheat button but unlike some other microwaves on the market it is NOT a sensor/automatic reheat so Im not sure what the purpose of it is when you could just as easily enter the amount of time and hit start like normal. Overall it looks nice enough and works as far as microwaving is concerned but I personally think it comes with many flaws.

A couple of significant features are off in this microwave which I have had in much cheaper not-as-nice-looking units. Specifically the timer has to be turned off in order to cook something if I am using the timer to keep track of my laundry for example I cannot cook until it goes off or I have to turn it off cook whatever and turn it back on and the rather loud alarm keeps going even when you open the door and take out the food

This is a nice powerful microwave. My only complaint with this unit is the alarm that goes off at the end of it cycle. It give three long blasts even if you open the door and remove the food. I have to hurriedly try to hit the stop button before the timer ends to outsmart the alarm.

Its a bear to install we must have drilled eight holes --even with the template. The cooking power is wonderful .The touch pad is a not sensitive enough and you have to really punch the numbers to make them work. It looks great. I wish you had another rating beside Its amazing or would not recommend. Its a good microwave just s couple of small issues with the installation nd touchpad

Pros: Nice look in kitchen. Heats food very well although a bit noisy when running. Venting is reasonable and acceptable. Price is right and love the appearance. Cons: Cheaply made. Specifically the door. The door sounds like a tin box and the door hinges and latch mechanisms are of very poor quality. The door hinges arent solid and are loose after 4 months of use. A sound deadener is definitely needed when closing the door. The timer alarm has a very weak sound level and is easily overlooked when the alert goes off.

The only thing I can say could be improved is the fan for ventilation does not work as well as I would like. it is better than having none though which is what I had before.
